I have really been slacking in the blogging department. I get in these moods where I don't want anyone to know everything about my life. I feel like social media is ruining the fun in life. Way too many people are sharing every second of their life with complete strangers. Then other seconds I remember how many people have told me they so enjoyed reading my blog post that I am completely torn. I've decided to keep blogging, just not so often. So bear with me while my posts may be very sparce.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw that we bought a semi! Many have asked me what company he is hauling for and what he's doing now. Well here's some answers. Yes he is still going to stay on the farm full-time. This is just something we decided would be good to do on the side for a little extra income. He will be selling/hauling sand, hauling crops etc.
I'm pretty excited about it, but it does scare me a bit I won't lie. He is ecstatic as you can see in the picture. It seems to have been a good investment so far! It makes me happy to see him following one of his dreams.
I finished fall semester with straight A's--woot! Proud brag moment because I thought I was going to kill-over towards the end. I'm still in school this spring, and am kind of dreading it to be honest. It's been nice getting to be lazy and not have to worry about class or homework during the break. I just have to remind myself that the end is in sight.
We have stayed very busy with work, but decided to break away from the real world and go on vacation with Collin's family. We went to Lake Havasu where we stayed in a house his parents rented. Let me just pause and say his mom plans the best vacations! After staying in Lake Havasu for four nights we went to Vegas for the day and then onto St. George where his grandparents live and stayed there two nights! It was so fun. We played games, did puzzles, shopped and got to see so many fun things.
The gorgeous sunset the first night in Havasu!
We went to Hoover Dam and got a tour of how it all works. It's mind-boggling how big it is.
We got to roam around Vegas after the show and see all the pretty Christmas decorations. (I was loving this because Christmas was over, but it was dragging on for us-score!)
On that note--we are excited to see what this year will bring us. With Col I know that it will be great. I hope you all made some good New Year's Resolutions. My biggest ones are to be kinder, and be better at sticking to our budget. I hope I can achieve them.
Happy New Year!
