Hold to your faith, and your husband of course

The last couple of days have been full of many challenges. I am glad that I have my husband to cleave to. I have been torn with many decisions and at the same time my heart has been full of gratitude.

The safety of my family, and the generosity of many friends in my life have helped to keep things in perspective this week.

Surprises, Prank Calls, and a New Car

As I mentioned in my last blog post, Collin got me a surprise Valentines Day present. I got it this Friday night and it was so fun! 

LADY ANTEBELLUM concert tickets! 

We had so much fun. Kip Moore and Jana Kramer were there too. They all were amazing! We have seen Lady A before and since the last time was two years ago it was cool to see how many hit songs they have had since then. My throat killed the day after from singing (screaming) along. I love their music. Collin and Zack really pulled this one off well considering the concert was supposed to be clear back in November but got re-scheduled! 

Love these two! 

 

We got a new car this last week. It's pretty awesome! My dad hooked us up with a sweet deal. Thanks again dad! 

1996 Grand Prix! 

It's a gem!  It will be so nice to not have to put miles on my other car driving to work and eventually down to school in Logan every day when (and if) I get into the nursing program! So if you see this beauty drivin' around town it's probably me. :) 

Emilee called me the other day when I was driving to logan. I didn't recognize the number, but answered anyways. It was Emilee prank calling me from her school! Haha who does that! What a dork she kills me! It's crazy to watch her grow up. She is getting so tall and turning into a young lady! 

These little fellas were outside our back door this morning. I never realized how noisy turkeys are! 

We drove up Strawberry Canyon to see how much snow was up there! Quite the adventure. Kynzie and I were just car sick in the back seat while Collin and Zack talked boy stuff in the front seat. Yes that's right I have been exiled to the back seat when we go with them. 

 

We are so blessed and can't thank everyone enough for the things you do to help us.

P.s. We have been married 5 months! Woot woot!

Another Week

Another week has flown by. I have learned this week a few things. 

• Taking NyQuil will knock you out, but a doorbell will still wake you up in the morning on your day off. ;) haha love ya Justin. 

• New friends are great. I used to get so sad that I didn't get to see any of my old friends, but lately I have been loving meeting new friends and becoming close with them. 

• Old friends are still great. I got to see one of my best friends Shelbi while in Pocatello this week. It is always good to catch up with her. Although we don't see each other much, we never miss a beat and always pick right up where we left off. 

• Take your iPad when waiting in line at Social Security offices. I waited in line for over an hour to change my social security card. Thank heavens for Candy Crush. 

• Saving some wedding gift cards until now was a good idea! I got all the rest of this months groceries for 16 bucks this week. I was pretty excited. 

• Driving your husband's truck isn't as easy to park. I feel like I'm driving a bus when I'm in it. When I drove it to pokey I pretty much parked the farthest possible away from everything. 

• We probably aren't going on a cruise..No matter how bad I try to figure it out, Collin will not tell me what my Valentines Day present is. He has had it for a month now and I'm dying to know what it is. He paid in cash so I couldn't figure it out too.  Zack got Kynzie the same thing and we are always trying to guess what it is. The other day we even had ourselves convinced that we are going on a cruise! Hahaha. Then we had a reality check. I am excited for whatever it is though! 

It has been another good week! Staying busy as always.

Small Update

The last week has been filled with sneezes, coughs, sore throats and lounging around on the couch! We have both been sick with a cold for a couple of weeks now! We have been loading up on NyQuil and zonkin' out trying to get rid of it, but nothing seems to work. I can't complain, having a few days off and watching Gossip Girl with Collin isn't the worst thing that could happen to us. He is just as addicted to that show as I am.

^ that is proof! Haha he sent me that one day when I was at work. 

We got to go to the USU vs. Weber hockey game which was fun! We like watching hockey even though we have only been a couple times. It's really entertaining! We always encourage the fighting. It's just too fun too watch! That sounds awful, but it's so true!

I enjoyed the view from our tub this week! Isn't it gorgeous! 

Collin volunteered to cut the onion a few nights ago for what I was making for dinner. It was so funny his eyes were watering so bad! It was nice to not have it be mine for once. :) 

Two Sundays ago they changed the ward boundaries for our ward and a couple others, we stayed in the Preston 6th Ward, and scored with 11 O' clock church! 

Col has been busy hauling manure. I helped him fix the spreader the other day! Okay who am I kidding, I held the tools while he worked on it. I still don't understand how he is so smart with things like that. 

I have been busy studying and trying to get my Federal Aid figured out for school. It's been so confusing with my name changing and such! I think it is finally figured out though. 

How's that for a small update? Hopefully this week we can both shake this cold.

Date night with the Carters

We try to have a date night once a week with Kynzie and Zack. Sometimes we just cook at home and play the farming game, other times we go out to eat.  Last night we went to Hu Hot!

 Zack and Collin always beg to go there. I don't know if it's the fact that it's all you can eat so they can eat as much as they want, or if it's just because it's so good! Either way, they love the place. Me personally, I like going there because they have grape sprite! It's sooo good and you can't find it anywhere! I am a grape addict. When I was younger the only time I ever remember faking sick was to get to have some of the grape cold medicine. Anyone else remember that stuff? Yum! 

New Year's Eve I even discovered the grape AMP energy drinks! Mmmmm.

Kynz and I always beg to go to Coldstone afterwards, we are addicts! At least I've found someone that loves it as much as me.
