January
A month that is usually FREEZING--turned out to be a month of nearly perfect weather!
My husband will probably kill me for saying this because we NEED all the moisture we can get, but I wouldn't mind if every winter was like this one has been. As long as we got enough moisture of course. :)

This month I started my spring semester of classes, which are much easier than last semester! Collin has been snowboarding and snowmobiling and just enjoying the slower winter months, even though with the weather being so nice they've been able to do a lot more than normal. I've just been trying to de-clutter everything in our apartment for when we move in a few months so that it will go smooth. It's amazing how much stuff two people can accumulate. I feel like I have got rid of so much!

Work has been so busy the last couple weeks, and I have been putting in 10+ hour days which can be exhausting sometimes, but then I remember the 15-16 hour days Collin puts in during the summer months and that helps remind me I don't have it so bad.

We went to the Young Farmers Conference in Burley the last weekend of January, and it was so good! We learned a lot that will be helpful for our future.

They had a motivational speaker who was amazing! I took a couple things from his speech that I'm really trying to work on. He claims that the only way to be successful is to follow these rules-- these are just a few.

-Don't talk negative. Negative people have negative lives.
-Never give up. Endure to the end.
-Don't speak ill of people.
-You must have patience.

Anyway he went on about all the things that helped him to be successful in life and I really took a lot of it to heart and am going to try really hard to be better!

January was good to us. Collins trucking is getting more and more busy which is good! We have hopefully got our next place to live decided on! I'll let you all in on it when it's a little more official. Our contract ends here in May so not too long.

I look forward to everyday with Collin and couldn't ask for anyone better to spend my life with! I'm thankful for all we have and hope 2015 is going well for you all as well.

Life is good!

2015

A new year.

I have really been slacking in the blogging department. I get in these moods where I don't want anyone to know everything about my life. I feel like social media is ruining the fun in life. Way too many people are sharing every second of their life with complete strangers. Then other seconds I remember how many people have told me they so enjoyed reading my blog post that I am completely torn. I've decided to keep blogging, just not so often. So bear with me while my posts may be very sparce.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw that we bought a semi! Many have asked me what company he is hauling for and what he's doing now. Well here's some answers. Yes he is still going to stay on the farm full-time. This is just something we decided would be good to do on the side for a little extra income. He will be selling/hauling sand, hauling crops etc.
I'm pretty excited about it, but it does scare me a bit I won't lie. He is ecstatic as you can see in the picture. It seems to have been a good investment so far! It makes me happy to see him following one of his dreams.

I finished fall semester with straight A's--woot! Proud brag moment because I thought I was going to kill-over towards the end. I'm still in school this spring, and am kind of dreading it to be honest. It's been nice getting to be lazy and not have to worry about class or homework during the break. I just have to remind myself that the end is in sight.

We have stayed very busy with work, but decided to break away from the real world and go on vacation with Collin's family. We went to Lake Havasu where we stayed in a house his parents rented. Let me just pause and say his mom plans the best vacations! After staying in Lake Havasu for four nights we went to Vegas for the day and then onto St. George where his grandparents live and stayed there two nights! It was so fun. We played games, did puzzles, shopped and got to see so many fun things.

The gorgeous sunset the first night in Havasu!
We visited a brewery and got to see how alcohol is made!

This train was gigantic!

We visited Oatman, AZ where there are burros roaming the streets and we got to feed them.
We went to Hoover Dam and got a tour of how it all works. It's mind-boggling how big it is.

We went to the Blue Man Group in Vegas. SO COOL!

We got to roam around Vegas after the show and see all the pretty Christmas decorations. (I was loving this because Christmas was over, but it was dragging on for us-score!)

Christmas was great and I'm always so sad to see the year end. I wish the goodness that's in the air through the holidays would stay all year round.

On that note--we are excited to see what this year will bring us. With Col I know that it will be great. I hope you all made some good New Year's Resolutions. My biggest ones are to be kinder, and be better at sticking to our budget. I hope I can achieve them.

Happy New Year!
